Leo Premiere Show Collections
Thalapathy Vijay is one of the most popular and successful actors in Tamil cinema, and his fans are always looking forward to his new releases. His latest film, Leo: Bloody Sweet, is no exception. The film’s trailer, which was released four days ago, has created a huge buzz among the audience and the trade. The film has already broken Vijay’s previous record of highest premiere collection in the USA, which was held by Beast. Leo has collected over $670,913 ( Rs 5.5 crore ) for its premiere show, surpassing Beast’s collection of $415000.
Mersal, another Vijay blockbuster, had collected $407000 for its USA premiere. Leo is being screened at 377 locations in the USA, with 924 shows planned so far. More than 29000 tickets have been sold for the Tamil and Telugu versions of the film. The Hindi version has only one show opened as of now. The film is also being shown in various formats, such as 2D, XD, IMAX and RPX, which offer enhanced audio-visual experience to the viewers.
The trailer of Leo reveals that the film is an action-packed thriller, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, who had previously collaborated with Vijay on Master. Vijay plays a dual role in the film, but the details of his second character are still under wraps. The film also boasts of a star-studded cast, including Trisha, Sanjay Dutt, Gautam Vasudev Menon and Anurag Kashyap. The film is interesting for another reason: it features three directors – Anurag Kashyap, Gautam Menon and Mysskin – as actors. Leo is also part of Lokesh’s Cinematic Universe, where he plans to connect his films like Kaithi and Vikram.
